canyon creek -jamie egbert

Attending Canyon Creek is a fun service that I believe fits the NHS purpose. It requires both enthusiasm and a desire for service and helps develop the character of all of our NHS members. It also motivates me to serve in the future as it is a service I really enjoy performing. Canyon Creek has taught me to be service oriented and also how to get to know those that I serve. In order to have a really fun time at Canyon Creek you have to get to know the residents there.

We spent the afternoon at Canyon Creek Senior Living on November 16, 2016. We did various activities with the residents there including puzzles, get-to-know-you games, and a very competitive round of bingo. I thought the activity was very entertaining and fun. Although it was not necessarily life-changing, I really enjoyed serving the senior citizens at Canyon Creek. I have appreciated the opportunity to go to Canyon Creek. I feel I have grown as a person this year as I have had the opportunity to serve others, and I am grateful for the experiences I have had. I know the seniors at Canyon Creek love the enthusiasm and fun we bring as teenagers and the service we provide them is really appreciated.
