Sample Scripts to Copy and Paste
- Think of your 30 biggest fans, people that are likely to open and email from you, click on the link, and hopefully even donate.
- Texting Biggest Fans: "Hi, [insert their name]! It's [insert relation], [insert your name]. Can you please give me your email for a NHS campaign we're doing? I promise it's not spam mail!" Examples- Hi, Aunt Liz! It's your niece, Sally. Can you...? or Hi, Jerry! It's your coworker Nick's daughter, Sally Smith. Can you...?
- Even if you already have their email, texting them will allow you to confirm that you have the right and best address, and will increase the likelihood that they will open your email, click on the link, and donate.
- Once your biggest fans send you their addresses say, "Thanks! When you get the email about our campaign be sure to open it and click on the link. :)"
- Make sure you submit those email addresses in your Snap!Raise account.
- After about a week, log in to your account and see which people still haven't opened the email (blue box) or clicked on the link (yellow finger). Send them a follow-up, "Hey! Did you get my email about that NHS campaign? It says you haven't opened it or clicked the link." If they have a red circle next to their address, that means the email bounced back. Text them and ask, "Hey! The email I sent you bounced back. Is [insert email address you submitted] correct? Is there a different, better one I could send it to?" or simply try reaching out to your biggest fans who you haven't gotten addresses from yet. Each member needs to have 20 emails sent not including the ones that bounced back (so if you have 6 bounce back, you need to make sure you send 26 emails).
- You are more likely to get donations if your upload a picture of your face. If people can't see who you are, they probably won't donate.
- If we exceed our goal, then we might only have to fundraise every other year, or every three years, or we can do a lot more with more money! Maximize this fundraiser this year!
